Eleven teachers, one shared studio language

Every faculty member still performs. Most have danced in the productions you have seen — and all of them teach the way they wish they had been taught.

Eleni Vassiliou

Co-founder & Principal Ballet
Trained at the Greek National Opera Ballet School, danced eight seasons in the corps de ballet, and is an RAD-certified examiner. Eleni teaches adult open ballet, advanced pointe, and grades 5–8. She is the reason students bring tea to her Tuesday class.

Konstantinos Petridis

Co-founder & Latin Director
Born in Athens, trained in Havana under Adolfo Indacochea, and toured for ten years with Cuban tribute ensembles across Europe. Konstantinos teaches salsa LA, salsa Cubana, and bachata sensual.

Maria Kontogiorgi

Pre-Ballet & Junior Grades
Twelve years teaching young children, RAD-trained, and a former Children’s Stage Athens choreographer. Maria runs all classes for ages four to ten.

Sophie Lefebvre

Pointe & Repertoire
French, trained at the Conservatoire de Paris, danced with Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse. Sophie joined DanceAcademy in 2021 and runs pointe on Saturdays.

Andreas Markou

Head of Contemporary
Akram Khan Company alumnus, choreographer for two Onassis Stegi commissions. Andreas teaches release technique and runs the choreographic studio.

Lila Doukissa

Floorwork & Improvisation
Trained at SEAD Salzburg with an MA in Choreography from Trinity Laban. Lila’s Saturday floorwork lab is famously sweaty.

Camila Reyes

Argentine Tango
Born in Buenos Aires, milonguera since age twelve. Camila partnered Pablo Veron during his 2018 Athens residency.

Stefano Bianchi

Bachata Sensual & Dominicana
Italian, Madrid-based for a decade, world championship finalist in 2022. Stefano commutes monthly for our weekend intensives.

Ifigenia Roussou

Heels & Jazz Funk
Athens-based commercial dancer, choreographer for Mad VMA performances in 2022 and 2024. Ifigenia teaches Friday heels and the teen crew.

Damien Okafor

Hip-Hop Foundations
Lagos-born, Athens-trained, founder of the Athens Hip-Hop Cypher. Damien teaches popping, locking, and house basics.

Niko Halkidis

Jazz
Greek-American, ten years on the West End in Chicago and Cabaret. Niko teaches musical theatre jazz on Sunday afternoons.
