Studio etiquette

Short, and mostly common sense. The point of all of it is that twelve people can share a room without anyone feeling in the way.

Arrive on time

Ten minutes early for your first class, five after that. A warm-up you missed is an injury waiting to happen.

Phones away

On silent, in your bag. Filming only with the teacher’s permission and never of other people’s children.

Say what hurts

Tell your teacher before class about injuries, pregnancy, or anything that changes what you can do that day.

Share the barre

Alternate directions, leave a body’s width, and let the person behind you see the mirror.

Indoor shoes only

Street shoes damage a sprung floor. Change in the changing room, not the doorway.

Scent

Deodorant yes, perfume no. Twelve people in a small room is a lot of air to share.
